Story and Photo Guidelines

Your feedback is important to us. We'd love to hear about the experiences you've had as an American Express Cardmember and then share these with other Cardmembers to show the value of membership.

Please read these guidelines and our Cardmember stories Terms, as we will not use your story or photo if it doesn't comply with the guidelines and the Terms. American Express has full discretion as to which stories or photos it publishes.

When submitting your story, please consider the following:

• Focus on your personal experiences and ensure they are accurate;
• Keep it simple, truthful, honest and candid;
• Be concise – you are limited to 500 characters only;
• Proofread your post before submitting.

If you choose to upload photos:

• The photo must be in .jpg, .gif, or .png format;
• The photo must not exceed 5MB in size;
• Each person may only submit a maximum of five ( 5 ) photos;
• The photo must be your own work (i.e. not taken or copied from another person or company);
• The photo must not include images of other people or their personal information (unless you have their permission);
• Photos should not include brands, trademarks or intellectual property of other companies or organisations.

We will not use your story or photo if it:

• Relates to a complaint;
• Is untrue, dishonest or inaccurate
• Could mislead or deceive others
• Includes any information that is private, secret or confidential (such as your Card number or account details);
• Is illegal or unlawful;
• Harasses, intimidates, threatens or abuses another person;
• Is defamatory, libellous or seeks to damage the reputation of another party;
• Is vulgar, obscene, profane or hateful;
• Contains nudity;
• Discriminates or is otherwise offensive on the basis of race, religion, gender, disability or age;
• Promotes or encourages illegal or criminal activities;
• Seeks to promote, advertise or market any company or its products and services;
• Includes any personal information of you or any other person (such as phone numbers, account numbers or addresses);
• Contains another person's work, content, ideas or materials;
• Contains or embeds any software, code or malware;
• Contains URLs or links to other sites;
• Reflects the views or opinions of any American Express employee.
